Scale Removal (calcium carbonate)

Based on 10,000 gallons

Day 1

  • Balance chemicals using the dosing calculator app to get LSI in range
  • Lower pH to 7.2 – 7.4, maintaining LSI balance.
  • Add one quart (32 oz. /10,000 gallons) of AAD Enzymes
  • Add one quart (32 oz. /10,000 gallons) of MSI Scale Inhibitor
  • Raise the water level in the pool above the scale line if possible
  • Brush areas with scale

Day 2 & 3

  • Check water chemistry and rebalance. Chlorine levels will be very low due to MSI.
  • Add no more than 1 gallon of chlorine per 10,000 gallons.
  • Brush areas with scale

Day 4

  • Check water chemistry and rebalance. Add chlorine as needed.

Week 2 & beyond

  • Begin weekly maintenance dose of MSI (3 oz. /10,000 gallons)
  • Check water chemistry and rebalance, the goal is 0.00 LSI.
  • If desired, begin weekly maintenance dose of AAD (5-10 oz. /10,000 gallons)
